The stock market has surged in the immediate aftermath of the election, putting a potential source of uncertainty in the rearview mirror. Financial advisors and their teams are working overtime to preserve client assets for the long term: Many are either turning to private markets to supplement total returns or to income-generating investments like dividend-paying stocks in order to ensure steady cash flow. A growing trend in the industry, wealth management teams have multiple advisors, allowing them to cover a broad range of expertise and services for clients. Teams in the private wealth category are those that primarily focus on accounts with $10 million or higher, though minimums for related household accounts can and often are lower. The third annual Forbes | SHOOK Top Wealth Management Teams Private Wealth features 100 teams with cumulative assets of nearly $1.2 trillion. Forbes’ list was compiled by SHOOK Research, which uses quantitative and qualitative data, including interviews, to rank teams.
