Inside offshore’s private markets boom

Latin American investors are evolving. No longer content with just exploring fresh opportunities in international equity markets, the region’s high- and ultra-high-net-worth clients have been clamoring for investment opportunities in international private markets, according to local wealth managers.

As a result, US offshore players wanting to capture their growing wealth have had to adapt to their increasing sophistication.

Many private banks, wirehouses, and independent advisor platforms – even some RIAs – have been bolstering their private market offerings over the last year to provide fresh opportunities to their Latin American clients, who now appear more prepared than ever before to sacrifice liquidity in exchange for higher return rates.
